Mark Stevenson’s First National Blenheim office is the most successful large office in the New Zealand First National group of companies – for the fourth year in a row.
First National Blenheim won eight significant national awards at First National’s Australasian 2009 Convention held in Christchurch this past weekend.
Awards were Top Office (group 3), Top Salesperson for Confirmed Sales, the Next Generation Award for most successful salesperson under 30-years-old, and four of the company’s salespeople made the network’s top 20 salespeople in the country.
New Zealand First National Real Estate General Manager John Stewart, said the awards were not surprising due to the consistently high standards achieved over a difficult year.
“Led by Mark Stevenson and Owen Norrish, the office combines huge experience in its marketplace with a passion for ensuring each agent in the office is the best they can be.
“As a result, at a time when real estate agents and offices are disappearing, First National Marlborough continues to grow”.
Mark Stevenson's 17-year contribution not just to his office, but to the entire group of First National companies, was recognised with a Fellowship Award at the convention, for “demonstrating outstanding integrity and commitment to the network and all the people within it”.
“People want to deal with this firm if they are buying or selling, and the unique nurturing environment they offer staff means agents want to stay there,” Stewart said.
Numbers of real estate salespeople across all realty groups in New Zealand had dropped dramatically, meaning the agents left were the best.
“That could only be a good thing for the real estate industry. In fact, I'd say we're in the middle of turning an industry into a profession. The agents at First National Blenheim exemplify that.”
Salesperson Vicki Baker, who marked five years service with First National at the convention, came second nationwide, Andrea Church who nationally topped the confirmed sales list came in 3rd nationwide, followed by Anne Goodyer (16th) and Robbie Moore (20th).
Fellow salesperson Ben Macky was a runner-up in the Rookie of the Year competition and won the Next Generation Award.
