Fields’ realtors receive top awards

Date: 25 March 2011

First National Kalgoorlie represented the Goldfields region at the real estate giant’s Statewide awards dinner last month.

Diamond award winner and Kalgoorlie property champion Norm Sharp said Kalgoorlie had a good year but was looking forward to the market picking up.

The diamond is awarded to sales representatives who have clocked more than 80 sales or listings for a combination of both over the year.

“We did well considering what is going on around the world and WA,” Mr Sharp said.

And he was not the only Goldfielder to grace the podium at the Vines in Perth on February 24.

First National Kalgoorlie sales representatives Tracy Roberts and Lydia Shehan both picked up silver awards.

The silver award goes to sales representatives who have made 30 sales and 30 listings in the year.

Mr Sharp said the Kalgoorlie office had done well, but did not have its best year, which he believed was due to strong competition from offices further north who were experiencing booms.

“Port Hedland is of course a boom town right now for obvious reason,” he said.

The Kalgoorlie office placed ninth in the sales office for the quarter category, with Port Hedland taking out the number one spot.
