Market tipped to bloom in spring

Date: 10 September 2013

Spring has arrived in Knox with a flurry of fresh property listings.

The area saw off winter with 49 new properties hitting the market in the final week of August and agents predicting bigger and better this month after a spike in would be sellers wanting their properties appraised.

First National Rowville general manager Sandra Haupt said August was a great listing month for her office.

But many vendors were waiting for the spring market to be in full swing before opening their homes for inspection.

“We have people who have done the paperwork and are ready to go, but they want to hang off a few more weeks for spring to kick in and for their gardens to look great,” Mrs Haupt said.

“We’re definitely going to see a big increase of properties coming on the market,” she said.

“This is great news for the swell of buyers who have not seen a lot of stock over winter.”
