Achiever leads by example
LEADING by example is what drove Queenstown resident Adam Mostogl to nominate for the Southern Cross Young Achiever Awards.
He did not think he would win, but the 26-year-old took out the First National Real Estate Leadership and Innovation category at the awards in Hobart on Saturday night.
Mr Mostogl has only been living in Queenstown since the beginning of the year, but he said it was a wonderful community with a good vibe.
He said he was humbled and honoured to receive the award.
"I'm pretty stoked but a bit surprised at the same time," he said.
"I didn't think I would win, not with the quality of all of the other finalists - they're doing really good things."
Mr Mostogl is a leader with the Door of Hope Christian Church in Launceston and also runs his own business, IlluminateSDF.
He started IlluminateSDF in 2009. It focuses on delivering meaningful and inspiring experiences for students in grade 9 and 10 and other young people.
Mr Mostogl said he hoped that his award win would show other young people that anything was possible that it would teach them to take opportunities in both hands.
